Capitol Centre Market in Madison opens new 36-foot deli!

Capitol Centre Market, which is owned and operated by Mitch Eveland, has been expanding their store over the past several months. Their expansion has taken over the space next door formerly occupied by Dorn True Value. As work progressed, sections of the expansion having been opening. And today, Cap Centre's new deli is officially open for business. It's a 36-ft. long masterpiece featuring both hot and cold items. Capitol Centre Market is located in downtown Madison, Wisconsin, with easy parking and walking distance from many sites and attractions including the state capitol, Overture Center and State Street.

Gempeler's Alpine Boy meat products win awards

Ken Gempeler and his daughter Julia at Gempeler's Supermarket in Monticello, Wis., were the recipients of three awards from the Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors. Their ring liver sausage won a Grand Champion award. The fresh pork breakfast links received a Reserve Grand Champion award, as did their beef jerky strips. Gempeler's Alpine Boy meat products are the best! Congrats!

Certco Announces expansion

Certco Facility Expansion

A groundbreaking ceremony took place Wednesday, May 18, 2016, for the 150,000 square foot cooler addition to the existing freezer building at 4802 Femrite Dr.

The existing building is 172,285 square feet and opened in 2010. The expansion will allow Verona, Wis.-based Certco to increase its natural, organic, specialty and refrigerated offerings to independent supermarkets in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and Iowa.

The anticipated completion date is November 2016.

“This is an exciting time for Certco,” President and CEO Randy Simon said.
